LAB SPACE
Our physical lab, the iNtaka lawtechlab, provides space to experiment with new technologies and learn about their effect on the law and legal practice.
outreach
iNtaka conducts outreach activities targeting academics, legal practitioners, legislators, judges, prosecutors and policy-makers, and the public to raise awareness of contemporary developments at the intersection between law and technology, and how these developments impact their professional and personal lives.
TEACHING
iNtaka implements diverse teaching and internal capacity-building initiatives aimed at UCT students and staff. These interventions are designed to address the critical legal concerns associated with digital technologies, with the objective of enhancing and developing our capabilities to harness technology while simultaneously mitigating risks posed by its adoption, particularly in relation to human rights and justice.
An African learning, teaching and research hub at the intersection of law & technology
Through research, teaching, outreach, and advocacy, the iNtaka Centre for Law and Technology endeavours to foster a deeper understandig of the implications of technology on the legal domain and the legal sector. We seek to equip stakeholders within the legal field with requisite knowledge and skills, empowering them to harness technology to promote the delivery of legal and educational services, thereby contributing to the advancement of justice.
